            I believe that the character in the book Black Duck are very realistic. They are very realistic because Ruben and Jeddy are great friend and they have been friend for many years and from personal experience I have had a friend for nearly ten years next month.  Another reason the Ruben is a realistic character because many kids during the Prohibition many kids were asked to unload alcohol. Chief Mckenzie is a realistic character because he is an honest and many cops were liked that during the prohibition. Jeddy's sister is also a realistic character because she is a teenager and sometimes can have and character with her brother like most teens have.



    A similarity between Ruben and me is that we both live with both our parents and lived in a house. We both have a best friend that we meet when were young and care for each other.  We both now a friend whose father is a police officer and is very dedicated to his job. While one very clear difference  is that we both live in two completely different time periods. I have not been asked to do anything outside the law while has been asked to unload alcohol.  Ruben has seen what a dead body look like in "real life" while I have not.



      I would like to meet the character Tom Morrison because he is interesting to me and has a very rich backstory. My first question would be if he would ever go back fishing, if not why would he not want to? My second question would be how he lost his eye and what did he do when it was ripped out? My third question is has he ever smuggled liquor if so what type and to where did he take it?  My fourth question would be how many years did he take care of Voila and what made him take care of her?

           In the book Black Duck a 14-15 year old boy named David is trying to find a story so he can post the story on the newspaper.  He finds an elderly man to interview after asking many people about the subject. The man's named is Ruben, he tells starts telling a story about 1929 during the prohibition era.  Ruben says one day while waking by the beach with his friend Jeddy,  they found a dead body with a gunshot wound in the neck. They go and tell Jeddy's sister about the dead body and his dad goes with them. When they arrive the body is gone with not tracks left behind by who ever took the dead body, so Jeddy's dad tells them not to talk about it until they are sure that there really was a dead body.  Later Ruben goes home, but when he arrives he need to go to the store and deliver something. On his way back he sees lights blinking what appears to be code, so he waits and sees a ship, many cars start to drive by and he follows them. He recognizes most of the people their and notice that they are caring crates filled with what seems to be alcohol,  after sometime he sees the ship's name Black Duck which is the name of the alcohol smuggling ship boat. After some times he returns home and the next day he tells Jeddy that they have to keep investigating the crimes scene to find what is going on and if anyone say who took the body. That is all that I have read so far.



           I believe the most important event so far in the book is that they found the body. I believe this is the most important event because it starts to raise suspicion of who did it. Another reason it is the most important moment because it introduce most of the character Jeddy's sister and dad, eventual Ruben's dad and mom when he tells them.  The dead body must set the plot up because they believe it has to do with the people smuggling liquor  in the city.  The dead body as will be the many focus on who it is and who killed him.



      I am enjoying reading the book  Black Duck for many reasons. One reason that I enjoyed reading  the book is that it takes a different approach from other books that I have read it has to do with the prohibition this is only books that I have read that happens during the Prohibition era . Another reason I like the book is that it also has another element that I like reading a murder mystery which has all ways seem interesting to me. The book also involves young teens that are not super genius and are going to need help from other to solve this mystery. It also involves with a alcohol smuggling boat that no has caught and might be tied in with the murder so you have many suspects by

Harry Potter and I have our similar while we are as well different do to the easily seen reasons. One similarities between Harry and I is that we are both 12-13 he is 13 while I am 12, but it will be my birthday in less than a month. We both live with our families while of course my family doesn't make be sleep in a small room, they care about me, and make me hide my talents. While a difference between Harry and me is that I live with my mom, dad, and sister while he lives with his uncle, aunt and cousin. Another difference between Harry and I is that he lives in the U.K while I live in America.

Harry Potter is a 13 year old boy that lives in the U.K. He has two best friend Hermione and Ron. He goes to a school for wizards and witches that is called Hogwarts, where the students learn how to harness their powers. He is in the group Gryffindor which is one out of four Slytherin,Hufflepuff,and Ravenclaw. He is usually happy at school except when Draco Malfoy taunts him or when he has to go to professor Snape's class. (Professor Snape insults him and treats him poorly in class) He is very brave having fought Voldemort in his first year and a younger verse of Voldemort which is Tom Riddle. While in the book he seems to have one fear thing and that is Dementors.

I would like to meet Hermione Granger because I find that Hermione and me are very similar. My first question would be how is she able take to the stress that comes with taking so many classes? My second question would be at what age did she start studying magic, s she has a vast knowledge of this? My third question would be how did studying magic impact her life and the way she acts with other she cared for? My fourth question is when did she find that she was a witch and how did her parents react do to the fact that she was witch do to the fact they are muggles.

The last time a did something of the first time.

         

            A few day ago one of the mom that bring her kids to my mom's daycare asked my mom if we be okay with taking her kid's guinea pig. Mom agreed with the mom and the next she brought the guinea pig. At this time I did not notice until the day she brought the guinea pig it was big surprise for me. This was the first time that I had got a guinea pig as a pet and I was excited.  The guinea pig was a female the original owner had named her Princess. I have yet to change the name do to the fact that my sister likes the name and I have not been able to come up with anything better.


             Princess is two years old at the time that I am writing this blog and most guinea pig live to be 4-5 year old if the proper care is given.  Her fur is tow different colors the middle of her body is white while her back and face is black, her face has a white line running down the middle between her eyes.. She is very shy she hides in her "igloo" and she also jumps up when you try to pick her up.  She is is about 8-12 inches long and weighs about a pound or two.  Since Guinea pigs are so big they need to eat 3 times a day they are mainly vegetables and fruits.


            I feed her different times of vegetables mainly lettuce, tomatoes, and celery.  Every week I have to change the material that cover the her cages so that she can go to the bather room. She is very clean she has one area were she sleeps and one are were she does her business.  She does not drink a lot of water  I don't know if that is normal. She likes to run inside of her "igloo" in circles that is a way for her to get the exercise she need to stay health so that she can live longer.
