The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night Time from what I have read is an amazing book to read. I have enjoyed reading this book because it gives a point of view that is not as seen much, which a 15 year  3 months 3 day old boy with Asperger's syndrome.  This allows you to enter the mine of a intelligent but trouble young man that literally takes everything serious as if it was true. Another reason that I truly enjoyed reading the book is that most mystery books have a person be killed but this one has a dog killed and this is not a spoiler it is in the cover.  The book also talks about physics and math which are two of my favorite subject and finds a way to fit them both in the book in a proper way.

The main character is Christopher Boone and he lives in small city in Swindon in the U.K. He is very intelligent for his age. In page 57 paragraph 5 line 1 and 2 Christopher say "And after I've taken A level Maths I am going to A level Further Maths and Physics and then I can go to university." Which is a big accomplishment considering he is 15 years old. Christopher as well as Asperger's syndrome which makes him hate the color yellow and brown he has trouble taking to other and does not understand metaphor, taking literally.  He is trying to solve the mystery of who killed the dog Wellington against his father best wishes. Christopher is "writing" the book in his world so that adds  another layer to his character.

One insight that I have gained from reading is that people with Asperger's syndrome take thing you say to them seriously.  People with Asperger's syndrome do not like the color yellow the reason for this I do not know.  In the U.K there are different levels of math and physics A being the highest and it is not told what is the lowest level. Someone with Asperger's syndrome can have vast knowledge and great memories in certain cases.  Patient with Asperger's syndrome have a harder time socializing with others.

  1. This sounds like a very interesting book. I would like to read this book. One problem is that you don't have a picture. Other than that, this is a great blog!

  2. It would be very hard to live with Asperger's Syndrome mostly because you only can take things literally, and that would cause me to constantly worry. Education especially would be hard to get with this syndrome. Good blog, you have not picture though. You also have some grammar issues, so next time don't try to rush.
